Wide-brimmed hat made to custom measurements. Brim is reinforced with spring wire and buckram. Crown of hat is fully lined and is made in one outer color and one inner color, folded to form the ornate square design. All embellishments are executed by hand.
Price includes one dozen natural ostrich feathers bound by hand to pin bases. Hat is shipped without feathers attached in order to preserve the hat while in transit. It is recommended that the feathers are removed during transportation and storage.
This hat is based on 15th century German designs as interpreted by Solstice Handspun from extant portraiture and makers' manuals, with supplementary materials from modern sources.
