Yes, this is the original!
The first Furby hood was made on commission for The Furby Pope, and due to popular demand I have decided to offer them for sale. His Holiness has requested that I not replicate the original hood, but other styles and color combinations are available. Please allow 2-3 weeks for manufacture.
Face plates are 3D printed in Sunlu ABS-Like Resin*, chosen for its durability and primed before being custom painted in my workshop in Oregon. There are two paint schemes available by default: standard and detailed.
Standard paint scheme includes:
- One color each of:
- Face plate
- Beak
- Tongue
- Forehead jewel
- Two colors per eye. Heterochromia is available!
Detailed paint schemes include options like gradients, simple patterns, and blended paints. Send a message if you have something specific you want, and we'll chat! Additional charges may apply for extra detailed work.
All face plates are sized to fit an average adult face. The distance between the centers of the pupils is 2.5 inches, or 6.3 cm.
*Sunlu ABS-Like Resin must be primed and varnished in order to be safe for wear. If the paint becomes scratched, it is highly recommended that a fresh layer of varnish is applied. For more information, please check the Sunlu ABS-Like Resin Safety Data Sheet
