Wrap up in luxury with this soft and silky Tencel scarf. With a comforting heft and a gentle drape, you'll never want to take it off! It's 100% handwoven and perfect for a cool spring morning, a summer evening, or a day at the office. It is wide enough to be a shawl, too!

When ordering this scarf, please make note of the primary and the secondary colors. When we weave these scarves, there is a main color (the "warp") and another color (the "weft"). The primary color stays the same for the whole run of scarves, while the secondary color changes with each scarf. Select your primary color first, and then choose which secondary color you would like.

This scarf is available for custom order in custom colors! To make a custom order, email us at SolsticeHandspun@gmail.com and let us know what you want. Refer to the color card images for the colors available for this scarf. Please allow a few weeks for your custom scarf to be woven, finished, and shipped, and note that because of how the scarves are woven, we have the greatest flexibility in the Secondary Color of the scarf.

What is Tencel? Tencel is generically known as Lyocell, a fiber made from cellulose. The pulp from Eucalyptus trees is converted into pure cellulose fibers through an extrusion process similar to that used for Rayon. This isn't your grandmother's Rayon, though! It is stronger than Rayon, even when wet, and is both odor-and-bacteria resistant. It absorbs moisture better than cotton and cools better than linen. It's also machine washable and safe to tumble dry

Even better than the fiber itself is that Tencel is produced using a procedure that reuses more than 99% of its solvents, which has earned it the European Award for the Environment from the EU.
